How to volunteer responsibly

Useful volunteer work starts with agreement, clear tasks and respect for the shelter's daily rhythm.

No online donations Support is direct, local and verifiable.

The foundation does not accept remote payments. Help should be connected to a real shelter, real animals and current needs.

Start with a task

Ask what is needed before acting. A shelter may need cleaning, walking, transport, sorting supplies, photography, repair work or quiet socialization.

Good help is not the same as doing whatever feels helpful in the moment.

Respect animal limits

Some animals cannot be touched, photographed, walked or introduced to strangers. These limits protect animals, volunteers and staff.

Follow instructions around gates, quarantine, feeding, medications and animal handling.

Stay consistent

Shelters benefit from reliable people. Even a small regular task can matter more than one large emotional visit.

If you cannot continue, communicate early so the shelter can plan.
